Environmental Policy
Office Needs is a commercial stationer based in Basildon with over 25 years of industry experience.
Office Needs has monthly meetings when all staff discuss issues of our environmental policy.
We aim to continue to reduce our carbon footprint currently 28.34 tonnes of CO2e by the following actions:
• Office Lighting
Switch off lights when they are not required and de lamp where possible
Replace lights with energy efficient bulbs or alternatives
• IT
Switch off all monitors and equipment out of office hours and when not being continually used
• Waste And Recycling
Reuse scrap paper for internal use
Shredded paper will be used as packaging
Ink & laser toners will be sent for reuse or recycling
• Fleet Management
Regularly check tyre pressure
Monitor efficient journey planning
Ensure vehicle maintenance programme is adhered to
Our environmental policy will be displayed in reception and on our website and we plan an annual review meeting.
A small team headed by our General Manager Andrew Heath will be responsible for the courses of action proposed and the continual commitment to our environmental policy.
